Placebo have parted company with drummer of 11 years, Steve Hewitt, due to
personal and musical differences.Brian Molko commented "Being in a band is very
much like being in a marriage, and in couples - in this case a triple - people
can grow apart over the years. To say that you don't love your partner anymore
is inaccurate, considering all that you've been through and achieved together.
There simply comes a point when you realize that you want different things from
your relationship and that you can no longer live under the same roof, so to
speak."The split is amicable and a sad time for both parties. Steve Hewitt
replaced Robert Schultzberg behind the drum kit in 1996 whilst the band were
promoting Placebo’s eponymous debut album and went on to record the following 4
studio albums ‘Without You I’m Nothing’, ‘Black Market Music’, ‘Sleeping With
Ghosts’ and most recently ‘Meds’.Placebo have just returned from the USA where
they were part of the high profile ‘Projekt Revolution Tour’ alongside Linkin
Park and My Chemical Romance. The band are now taking a well earned break.Brian
Molko and Stefan Olsdal will begin work on Placebo’s 6th studio album next
Spring and are in no rush to find an immediate replacement for Steve.

Aqui esta el trailer de la tercera y "nueva" (en UK ya va en el season finale) temporada del Doctor..y al parecer los daleks atacan de nuevo!!!:

People and Arts ya estreno la tercera temporada y el horario sigue igual sabaditos a las 6pm. La primera temporada y creo que parte de la segunda la pasaban los viernes a las 3 y me quedaba de maravilla el horario, nunca me perdi ningun capitulo y hasta vi repeticiones de la primera 2 veces. Pero no se porque de repente fue adios horario de las 3, hola sabados a las 6.

Aun asi no hay que perderselo y el trailer promete mucho.

Hoy pasaron el segundo. o mas bien, primer capitulo (depende de si pasaron el christmas special) de la tercera temporada!

i el Doctor ya se consiguio una nueva companera: Martha Jones...pero no se olvida de Rose

Lo que no se es si pasaron el capitulo "primero", porque era un christmas special llamado "the runaway bride". el sabado pasaddo me fui todo el dia i ni chanza de verlo ni en internet debido a oh gran tarea.

lo bueno es que David Tennant sigue en el rol de the Doctor, actorazoooo le quedo muy bien el papel. :D

Se ha confirmado. Despues de rumores y especulaciones que decian que The Used se presentaria el proximo anio en monterrey junto con Linkin Park(o si es cierto este evento?), se confirma que la banda se presentara el 8 de diciembre del presente anio en Monterrey en el Vaquero's Western Saloon. La fecha ya aparece en el sitio oficial del tour. Pero The Used no viene con Linkin Park, sino como parte del Rockstar Taste Of Chaos 2007. Por si no saben este tour se conoce tambien como "winter warped" y se ha realizado desde hace varios anios. Como explican los de Tree Productions, compania que hace posible el evento, en el myspace del evento: "INTERNACIONAL ROCKSTAR TASTE OF CHAOS Festival conocido mundialmente por acercar a algunas de las bandas mas famosas del genero en donde se hace la visita a diferentes paises en donde en ocasiones y la mayoria de las veces es dificil que estas bandas se presenten."

La venta, o preventa (como le quieran llamar), de boletos empezo hoy, 26 de septiembre en el Cafe Iguana. Se manejan dos precios: $230 general y $330 vip. que cual es la diferencia entre las dos? "la zona vip es una zona mas comfortable con mesas, sillas, lugar donde descansar, barra de bebidas (no gratis) y sus respectivos baños, es una zona donde te podras mover con mayor facilidad , tambien decirte que esta a la altura del escenario y es todo alrededor del venue" como explican los de tree productions en su blog.

Las bandas que se estaran compartiendo escenario con The Used son: Rise Against, Aiden (quien ya se ha presentado en la ciudad), The Bled, e invitados por confirmar.

Tree Productions trae shows en su mayoria de bandas del genero hardcore, al igual que I Wish Productions. Proximamente, traera a Bless The Fall, hay por el mes de abril. Al parecer el gusto por bandas de este genero ha crecido enomermente en la ciudad, ya que han traido muchas bandas de este genero. Algunas de las que se han presentado estan buenas, pero ya fue mucho no?. Me pregunto si habra algun promotor aqui en monterrey que rompa con esta tendencia y traiga bandas o cantantes como Brigth Eyes, Patrick Wolf, Kings of Convenience, The Whistest Boy Alive (que ya se ha presentando en la ciudad, y gracias a la companania que lo trajo!), entre otros. Si dudan de que atraigan publico pueden traer bandas hipsterianas (esto no quiere decir que las bandas son malas, si no que ahora estan "in") asi como CSS, o Justice o Klaxons. Justice se estara presentando en el DF, porque no traerlos aqui?. Este tour esta muy bueno, pero ojala que a alguien se le ocurra traer algun dia algo diferente.

just found out about who was the potographer for the amazing patrick wolf pics that appeared in 2 pitchfork articles about his north american tour. turns out the photographers are waren du preez and nick thornton jones. the photographs appear in the october 2007 iD issue.

para las personas "quebradas" que gustan de la buena musica asi como cof* moi cof*, existen oportunidades de ver a bandas muy buenas de a grapa. En el 2006 o 2005, no me acuerdo bien, Vaquero estuvo tocando en la macroplaza y fui a verlo. i la verdad si estuvo muy bueno el pequenio tokin que se aventaron, hasta el sonido estuvo fregon y la raza pss bien prendida. por ahi dicen, no se yo verdad, dicen, que puro "naco" va a la macro. pues saluditos especiales para esos que creen eso porque no es cierto. para nada. todo tipo de gente va a la macro. hipsters, nacos, fresas, y todas las subdivisiones populares de la population (saludos gera!)y pss si ir a la macro me hace "naca" pss que se la coman, porque (jajaa) como dice la camiseta "ser naco es chido" y punto.

bueno la cosa es que "latin alt rock sensation" kinky (como la describen en sites gringos) se va a estar presentando en la explanada de los heroes este viernes 31 de agosto ahi por la 8. se va a poner especial, nunca los he visto en vivo pero buscando ahi por la red me encontre unos comments que dicen que si tocan muy bien en live. me dare la vuelta por ahi y posteare fotos y si se puede asta un vid feliz.

here's a list of complaints that have araised throughout this past 2 weeks about fashion in the USA.:
#1 holland t-shirts: henry holland's widely popular in your face slogan t shirts (and similars) have been around in europe for like the whole summer, how come they just popped in the USA?
#2 nu-rave: nu rave is a trend that the klaxons started just to get noticed, it was supposed to be a JOKE. then, suddenly everyone started copying it and voila! there's the hottest trend. now hipsters are bringing it to the USA as if it was the best "new thing" while it has been around for ages like the slogan shirts.
#3 PEOPLE IN THE STATES DONT KNOW HOW TO DRESS, well maybe a few know how,but most dont. i've watching some shows about benefactors and stuff,and they have tons of money and cant afford a simple beautiful dress, instead they wear stuff that looks like it came off an army store (and u can find even better things there.). horrible sick-yellow gowns with absolutely no shape, they cant even coordinate colors, (imagine that yellow with brown.. ugg gross), that not even the queen of england would wear, fuck not even my grandma. and i cant understand, they can have everything but not an stylist, wtf. not even actors know what to wear, if it wasnt for those "great" stylists (that even sometimes fuck up) they got, they would be totally lost. i mean when u see "celebs" anywhere elese than the red carpet, they look like vagabonds. fucking horrible.
4#THE BORDER MALLS SUCK or maybe i just saw the light of european fashion, but there's nothing good there anymore, everyone here at my town goes to laredo or mcallen to buy clothes and the effect of that is that many people buy the same item and you end up pissed off cause other 20 people got ur same "original"shirt. that sucks. all those stores got the same shitty clothes.
#5 CLOTHES ARE NO BETTER THERE THAN HERE AT MEXICO. fact: all the clothes u see in the mall are actually made here. most of them, or in china. so no weeping about "quality" here and there its the fucking same thing.

#6 THERE ARE NO STORES LIKE TOPSHOP AND THEY ONLY GOT ONE ZARA AND ITS NEW YORK. shops like topshop, h&m and zara, bring the trends of the runway to the common people who cant afford designer stuff. they actually have beautiful upadated clothing. while in the USA the stores are pretty common, with no designer like stuff.

note: the past 3 complaints are truth for only the states of the north of mexico and south of the USA.

note 2: actually most of them have to do with the border states cause that's "my reality".

the sound is that of a truly epic march to the cementery, or like this is the end of something, or more like it, the begining : beware of what is to come.

that song sounds amazing on the album played just by beirut. but add to that members of the arcade fire and other equally amazin bands. that song is played by more than 8 trumpets and all that people are reaally getting into it, its just wow. blowed my mind.

The Whitest Boy Alive en Mexico

Erlend Øye pasó varios meses a principios de 2007, tocando tanto con The
Whitest Boy Alive como con Kings of Convenience y después se fue a las playas de
Puerto Vallarta donde pasó tiempo componiendo nueva música. Ahora, junto con su
grupo the pop suave, mandaron un comunicado.

Basicamente dice que van a pasar dos meses en Puerto Vallarta para
seguir con el nuevo disco -posiblemente grabarlo- y que en el proceso le
gustaría tocar en toda la república mexicana durante los fines de semana. Quizá
también conseguir unas fechas en California y que necesitan rentar un montón de
equipo. Interesados en apoyar a la causa pueden comunicarse a

Forum Monterrey 2007

Despues de gastar una lana haciendo proyectos inutiles de urbanizacion y adjudicarse conciertos que ellos no habian planeado, algo bien deebian de haber echo los del forum. Resulta que los monitos estos se pusieron las pilas para los espectaculos y se trajeron unos muy, pero muy buenos. Ase varios dias una lista de eventos fue revelada y esta bien largotaaa...entre ellos me encontre la grataa sorpresa de que el senioron Goran Bregovich iba a asernoos muy felices con su presencia. wow. fue lo uniko que pude pensar. algo bien tenian que hacer. pero k no lo vayan a cancelar.

esta listaa de eventos no ha tenido mucha difusioon en los medios: muchos se perderaan de eventos de primera.me tuve que enterar por los blogs we shall be free y ocho cuartos para saber de ella.

otra buena noticia es que estan tratando de que la mayoria de estos eventos sean gratis o de muy bajo costo...asi que no habra que sufrir tanto por eso.

Davey Havok and Jade Pugent, both memebers of AFI, are releasing the new album for their side project Blaqk Audio on august 14. The album is streaming entirely rigth now at the duos myspace. i am currently on track 6 and i have two words to describe it: DEPECHE MODE. the sound is totally depeche mode- esque. the album isnt very ambitius but it doesnt fall short, it is just a good dance-to album...actually on some tracks it reminds of she wants revenge. dont know why....

Por lo pronto si voi a ver a MCR, pero los malditos de TIcketmaster no han publicado precios...

El día y los precios de los boletos para su presentación en la Ciudad aún no están confirmados, pero se darán a conocer próximamente, anunciaron los
promotores del evento. Recientemente, la banda tuvo un cambio en su
alineación: primero Ben Moody, cofundador del grupo y guitarrista principal,
salió de la agrupación en el 2003 y luego en mayo de este año el bajista y el
baterista salieron de la banda. A pesar de los cambios, Evanescence ha
seguido cumpliendo con su agenda y Monterrey se encuentra dentro de sus
planes.

El grupo viene el 4 de octubre al Auditorio del Parque Fundidora. Los boletos estarán en preventa Banamex el 13 y 14 de agosto; a partir del 15 será general por Ticketmaster.

so i did it.

i created a blog!!!

and my stupid internet connection is lost again. Well it’s not mine actually, it’s the neighbors. mine’s sick right now. It keeps going off and on and off and on and off…

poor internet connection.

well im a little off topic. The point is that I made a blog. i! me! me! me! who swore to never make one, that they were just for people with nothing to do. mais les vacances changed my point of view. I was going to be stucked in my house for the next two months due in part to my lazyness, and to the freaking hot weather. so I did the rational thing to do: stayed inside next to the air conditioner, rent a whole lot of movies, turned on my laptop and drank coffee. I also changed my waking hours: slept all day. awoke all night. Coffee kept me on my feet. Ajaja it has magical properties. Anyway, my day consisted on hearing music all day, watching movies, going to the gym (I hate exercise, but I knew I had to do something) and surfing every corner of the world wide web. Yeah pathetic I know, but it was that or getting a job, and I tried to get one, I really tried.but I think I looked in all the wrong places cause everywhere I searched I got the phrase “from 18+”. Fuck it. I said.

So I happen to be growing a passion for design. I have always had the “artistic urge”. it grew a lot during last semester since I was taking an art history class, which I found extremely attractive. Great teacher, by the way. Made it even more appealing. She really knew her stuff. Well getting back to my point I started to realize all that could be expressed through the arts, and I mean all kind of arts. So the thing is I searched for all the artists we covered and found some great blogs about the arts. I became intrigued, cause some of the writers of those blogs actually had an opinion and not just babbled like I am doing right now. I discovered a lot through them and they made my hours in front of the computer worthy, rather than a waste of time.

So that’s my story of my, shall I call it, blog-awakening? Ajaja sounds funny.

So I’ll be posting everyday I think since I don’t have anything to do but what I do have is a lot to say about some stuff.

So thanks to you if u took ur time reading al my nonsense.
